ODWOŁANE: 

Cracow Workshop of Analytic Philosophy 2020 is the 3rd edition of a series workshop devoted to discussion on the main issues of contemporary analytical philosophy in a small but stimulating environment.


The subject of this edition is fictionalism. We welcome contributions related to this subject from all areas of philosophy, with special focus on social ontology and legal philosophy.

Call for Papers:
We welcome submissions of full draft papers via e-mail to pawel.banas[at]uj.edu.pl in anonymized pdf. The deadline for submissions is the 31th of March 2020. Decisions would be made within two weeks.
The maximum length of a draft is 10 000 words (although shorter papers are welcome). There are no requirements regarding formatting etc.

Format of the workshop:

Each participant is supposed to present either an original research paper during the workshop, which will be later a subject of commentary and intensive small group discussion
Each contributed paper would be given a 40 minutes long slot for presentation, which then will be followed by a  10minutes response by a commentator, and finally by 20minutes of discussion. We normally expect each participant to read at least one other paper in advance so as to take the role of a commentator.


Venue:
The conference will be held in Hotel Wolski conference center – located in a quiet forest, just 15 minutes away from central Krakow.

Fees:
The workshop is free to attend. The participants are expected to cover cost of accommodation at the Hotel Wolski conference center: The cost of 2 nights in a single room is 89 EUR, 2 nights in a shared double room is 59 EUR.

Conference:
The workshop is followed by a major conference “Analytic Philosophy meets Legal Theory”.

Organizers:
The conference is organized by Jagiellonian Centre for Law, Language and Philosophy, in cooperation with the Institute of Philosophy and the Chair of Legal Theory of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.  The event is part of the project “Law-Language-Philosophy Research Network”, which includes Insitut Jean Nicod, Surrey Univeristy, University of Milan, Zagreb University along with the Jagiellonian University Krakow.
