Enlightenment and Religion - a Seminar

The research team of the project Between Secularization and Reform. Religious Rationalism in the Late Seventeenth Century and in the Enlightenment is pleased to invite everyone interested to lectures and workshops organised within the research seminar Enlightenment and Religion:

The seminar will start in March 2020 and continue until June 2021. The first lecture, to be delivered by Professor Winfried Schröder (University of Marburg), will be held on the 5th of March 2020 (5 to 7 p.m., the Roman Ingarden lecture hall). The topic of the lecture is: "The origins of atheism in the early modern period and in the Enlightenment". The lecture will be followed, on the 6th of March, by a workshop on a 17th-century clandestine manuscript Symbolum sapientiae.
