A talk by Dr. Trent Dougherty

The Department of Epistemology and the Department of Ontology welcome all interested to an open session at which Dr.Trent Dougherty will deliver a talk on "Probability in Epistemology". The session will be held on 6 April 2017 (Thursday) at 2:00 p.m. in Room 25 (Roman Ingarden lecture hall).

Abstract: What can probabilistic reasoning contribute to epistemology? Is there anything more to epistemology than probabilistic reasoning? What is probabilistic reasoning? Dr. Trent Dougherty will treat these and other questions in a manner that does not assume detailed understanding of probability theory.
