Institutions related to the activities of the Department of Research on Professional Ethics

Interdisciplinary Centre for Ethics at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Jagiellonian University was established by the ordinance of the Rector of the Jagiellonian University of February 27, 2007. According to the regulations, its basic task "is to initiate, organize and coordinate various forms of scientific and didactic activity in the field of applied and professional ethics, in particular bioethics and business ethics." Although formally the Center is an organizational unit in the structure of the Faculty of Philosophy, the subject matter and personnel is an inter-faculty initiative, which is already reflected in the fact that the academic board is composed of the representatives of several different faculties of the Jagiellonian University.

Diametros - An Online Journal of Philosophy - (ISSN 1733-5566) was launched in autumn 2004. Prof. Włodzimierz Galewicz is the editor-in-chief of Diametros.

Philosophy in Practice - a popular science journal (published in Polish) established in 2015 thanks to the grant from the Foundation for the Polish Science (programme eNgage funded by the European Union); editor-in-chief: Dr Tomasz Żuradzki. In 2016-17 Philosophy in Practice was financed by PZU Foundation; in 2016-2018 by the Institute of Philosophy of the Jagiellonian University, and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (National Programme for the Development of the Humanities).
